    At Women's Journey of Faith, we believe that every woman has a unique spiritual journey. Our aim is to create a supportive community that empowers women on their path. As a volunteer, you'll play a vital role in helping us achieve this calling.

  • Qualities of a WJOF Volunteer

    Volunteering for WJOF can be an extremely fulfilling experience. We require certain qualities in our volunteers to ensure that they are a good fit for the role. Here are four important qualities we look for:

    Passion for Our Mission

    Our volunteers should have a deep enthusiasm for our organization's mission and values. This passion should be contagious and inspire others to get involved.

    Compassion and Empathy

    WJOF works with women in vulnerable situations. Volunteers with compassion and empathy are better equipped to connect with these women and provide support and prayer.

    Dependability and Reliability

    Our volunteers should be dependable and reliable. They should always show up on time, complete tasks to the best of their ability, and follow through on commitments. This reliability is essential for building trust with women from different churches and other volunteers.

    Flexibility and Adaptability

    WJOF operates in dynamic environments where needs and circumstances can change quickly. Volunteers who are flexible and adaptable are better able to navigate these changes and adjust their approach accordingly.

    Here are some additional qualities that can make a great WJOF volunteer:

    • Active listening skills: Volunteers who can listen actively and attentively are better able to understand the needs and concerns of the women they are working with. This can help build trust and foster deeper connections.
    • Non-judgmental attitude: Women who come to WJOF may be facing difficult or sensitive issues. Volunteers who approach these situations with a non-judgmental attitude are more likely to create a safe and supportive environment.
    • Cultural sensitivity: WJOF serves women from diverse backgrounds and cultures. Volunteers who are culturally sensitive and aware can better understand and appreciate these differences, and work more effectively with women from different communities.

  • What We Need...

    At Women's Journey of Faith, we believe that every woman has a unique spiritual journey. We aim to create a supportive community that empowers women on their path. As a volunteer, you'll play a vital role in helping us achieve this mission.

     

    Here are some ways you can get involved:

    • Help with events: for our annual conference and smaller gatherings, we always need help with event planning and coordination. If you have organizational skills, we'd love to have you on our team. 
    • Spread the word: Do you know women who would benefit from our community? Help us spread the word! Share our website and social media pages with your friends and family.
    • Usher: Are you interested in helping women get to where they need to go and supporting WJOF in creating a smooth conference experience? We are currently seeking ushers to join our team. 
    • Creative Team: Are you a woman who loves to write, loves poetry or has a testimony to share? We're looking for talented individuals to join our Creative Team. Share Your Testimonies and Writing Skills! 
    • Prayer Team: Sometimes, women need individual support on their spiritual journey. As a volunteer, you could offer one-on-one guidance and support to women who are seeking it. 
    • Decor Team: Join our Decor Team and Create an Unforgettable Atmosphere for Our Events are you experienced in decorating for large events? We're currently seeking talented individuals to join our team and help create a unique atmosphere where women can encounter the Lord in every aspect of our conferences.
